Disciplines Group for Soil & Water Conservation and Ecological Environment

The Disciplines Group,with national soil & water conservation and ecological environmental security as the core field, dedicates to the major scientific and technological issues including regional ecosystem response, soil erosion and soil& water conservation, soil quality improvement and sustainable use of resources, ecological restoration and  new forest species breeding in soil and water conservation and ecological construction.Supported by State Key Laboratory of Soil Erosion and Dry-land Agriculture on the Loess Plateau, the disciplines group gathers 24 PI teams and 172backbone researchers from A&F College of Resources and Environment, College of Forestry and Soil and Water Conservancy Institute. The mid-term goal is to build forestry science first-class discipline in the world, agricultural resources and environment a domestic leading and internationally distinguishing as well to support the agricultural science to top 0.1 ‰ in ESI worldwide.By 2050, disciplines of forestry, agricultural resources and environmental will lead the world and the construction of disciplines group significantly enhance the core competitiveness of disciplines, greatly improved output of high-level impacting articles. As to the public data on world-class disciplines of Soft Science, ranking of A&F environmental science and engineering, geoscience, and ecology steadily advanced in 2017-2019. USNEWS ranking shows that A&F  environmental science and ecology ranked 263rd place in 2018 in the world, supporting agricultural science to top 6^th discipline in China. Disciplines group boosted A&F environmental science and ecology to top 4.01 ‰ in ESI, supporting agricultural science to top 0.27 ‰ of ESI worldwide.
